No home for gnome by Rosemary McGregor Illustrations by Tom Simpson

This story is about a family that moved into a bigger house. Then a girl called Katie she found a gnome on a rock, Katie saw that the gnome was holding a small fishing rod. Katie thought the gnome was ugly but then she thought it was a little bit cute. Then she put it on her sewing window and Katie's mum saw the gnome she asked the husband to put it in the shed so he did. He put a big cartoon and the gnome with toys and books and he took it to the school gala. At ten o clock on Saturday the gala started it looked very cool there was full of family's enjoying all the fun activities like face painting and pony rides it looked so fun. The next day their neighbour gave them a box when they opened it it was the gnome. That made me laugh hard out and I really enjoyed this story.
